Intro
to the trip
Date: Sept. 20 - Oct. 5, 2003
This was the big trip of the year, as it was my annual leave. We went
to six cities in two weeks - Beijing, Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Guilin
and Yangshuo. For me, it was the first time to go into the interior
of China, having spent all of my previous times on the eastern coast
region while studying and on business trips.
All in all, it was a great time, having only brushed with death once
(on the torturous 10-hour bus trip from Lijiang to Kunming) and only
had to go to the hospital for diarreha once.

DragonAir (Gang Long Hang Kong) was the airline that
got us from Kaohsiung to Hong Kong. Good food and great service.
