| The
only thing greater than the City of Toronto is the
team that inhabits it. No, not the Argos...the Leafs,
of course. The year I was born was also the last
time they won Lord Stanley. I keep hanging on, though.
So much greatness has come out of Maple Leafs Gardens.
Darryl Sittler getting 10 points in one game, heroic
efforts by Doug Gilmour, fearless play by Wendel
Clark, true courage by Bobby Baun playing a Stanley
Cup final on a broken ankle, and yes, of course,
a fine chain of donut shops named after Tim Horton.
